Terms and Conditions with Acting Out Drama School

You are aged 18 or over and have agreed to attend classes or online training with Acting Out Drama School or have agreed that your child may attend classes or online training with Acting Out Drama School.

Acting Out Drama School will not refund any monies paid, under any circumstances. All bookings made are non-transferable. If you are paying in monthly instalments, you agree that payments will be charged on the same date you make your first instalment on for each month after until the agreed monthly instalment plan has ended. You must make your payment on these agreed dates, even if you / the student has left the course for any reason or this can result in automatic withdrawal from the class without refund or your debt being assigned to a collection agency. You also understand that there is a late fee charge of £10 per week for any late or missed payments. Vouchers, voucher codes, discount codes or coupons hold no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. If you have subscribed to the Acting Out Membership you understand that refunds are not issued. To stop your membership for any reason, we need a month’s notice. You must cancel your subscription before the next payment is due by emailing us at hello@actingoutdramaschool.com. All payment for the Acting Out Membership recur automatically until you cancel. You also understand that failure to make monthly payments for your Acting Out Membership may mean that your membership is cancelled immediately. Any cancellations also take place immediately without refund.

All Intellectual Property Rights in the Course Materials, Online Courses, Membership Content, Portal content and the speeches and training made by coaches at Acting Out Drama School are, and remain, the intellectual property of Acting Out Drama School or its licensors, whether adapted, written for or customised for the you the student or not. In consideration of the fees paid by you, we grant to you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Course Materials and the software in respect of the Online Course or Membership for the sole purpose of completing the Online Course and / or attending the Taught Course. You are not authorised to copy, modify, reproduce, re-publish, sub-licence, sell, upload, broadcast, post, transmit or distribute any of the Course Materials without prior written permission. You are not authorised to record on video or audio tape, relay by videophone or other means the Online Course or Taught Course given. You are not authorised to use the Course Materials in the provision of any other course or training whether given by us or any third party trainer. You are not authorised to remove any copyright or other notice of Acting Out Drama School on the Course Materials. You are not authorised to modify, adapt, merge, translate, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer (save to the extent permitted by law) any software forming part of the Online Courses, content or material. You understand that breach by you of this clause shall allow us to immediately terminate these terms and conditions with you and cease to provide you with any Services, including but not limited to access to the Online Courses.

You understand that failing to attend three or more classes in a row on all courses and programmes, can result in automatic withdrawal from the class without refund. You agree that it is not permitted for you or your child to turn up to any class, rehearsal, workshop or show under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. You agree that you or your child will behave appropriately and to have respect for other students, staff and members and understand that Acting Out Drama School do not allow harassment, hate speech, anti-social behaviour or product placement or promotion.

You understand that feedback received from coaches and directors is the opinion of the reviewer and does not necessarily represent the opinion of Acting Out Drama School. You understand that under no circumstances are you allowed to pay any monetary value to coaches, members, directors, staff or students of Acting Out Drama School, without written consent from the Director of Acting Out Drama School, such as (but not limited to) an intention of booking an Acting Out coach out-with the school for similar services that the school provides. You understand that this behaviour can result in your immediate dismissal, without refund or further explanation. You also agree that you will not book our venues for any purpose, without first seeking written permission from the Director of Acting Out Drama School. You agree that deadlines given for submission of course homework, assignments, membership monthly challenges and as such, must must comply with the instructions given and be submitted on or before the deadline listed to be eligible for review.

Acting Out Drama School and its staff cannot be held responsible for students outside the starting and finishing hours of the class. Acting Out Drama School expects students to take care of their own personal belongings and does not accept liability for belongings that may become lost or damaged. You agree to inform the staff via email to hello@actingoutdramaschool.com of any changes to the information you have provided, such as medical or contact details, as soon as is reasonably practical. Should Acting Out Drama School fail to get back to you within 7 days to confirm receipt of your email, you agree to provide the updated information in writing to the class coach/director. You also accept that Acting Out Drama School has the right to refuse or exclude students from lessons at its discretion at any time without reason and refund.

Acting Out Drama School do not provide re-sits or refunds for any failed or missed exams or qualifications under any circumstances. In the result of a failed exam or qualification, Acting Out Drama School may work with the candidate on an appeal basis for an additional cost, payable to the school. Acting Out Drama School will not pay any refund, compensation, reimburse expenses, or cover losses for any amount, as a result of circumstances beyond our control (for example, but not limited to, COVID-19, Government Restrictions, Venue Closures or cancelling a class due to dangerous weather conditions). Acting Out aim to run all sessions as planned in the website descriptions and email communication but you understand that sometimes content, coaches, directors or outcomes may change after you have booked your service such as (but not limited to) your course, workshop or private lesson and agree to enrol regardless of this. Acting Out aim to run all face to face classes in person and in venues but if our venues close due to government restrictions, lockdowns or circumstances out-with our control, we’ll go online and return to venues when it’s safe to do so.

You understand that all classes, courses and workshops may involve varying amounts of physical exertion, including rigid cardio warm ups, stretching and fitness exercises in class and as such there may be a small risk of injury which Acting Out Drama School are not accountable for. You agree that you or your child will follow direction of the coach and/or director and agree not to attempt exercises unless directed to do so by your coach or director. You are also aware that all online sessions and performances are recorded and can be shared and made available to other students or members of Acting Out.

With regard to Data Protection, Acting Out Drama School complies strictly with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, effective from 25th May 2018, as detailed in our Privacy Policy on the Acting Out website. In particular, please note that we have a strict no mobile, no photography and no filming policy in class and during performances. Failure to comply with this policy and any other rules stated verbally or in writing can result in automatic withdrawal of the student from the class without refund. You understand and agree that Acting Out Drama School may take photographs or footage during performances or lessons either face-to-face or online. And that these can be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the GDPR. You are also aware that all online sessions and performances are recorded and can be shared and made available to other students or members of Acting Out.
